With a doctor, nurse, pharmacist and surgeon, the health facility treated over 5,800 very needy patients in 2017 and 157 minor surgeries were performed in the village. All free of charge.
With microloans, women run business cooperatives, and, as in the case of food production, all the enterprises benefit the community. Ten women received mircoloans in 2017 and had a payback rate of 100%.
FOOD AND EDUCATION
Over 10,000 meals were provided to 133 students in the primary school in 2017. A whole primary school can be fed for $1 or less per student during the dry season so children can attend school.
